PARKLAND, FL- When Marjory Stoneman Douglas students head to school on Monday, the busy campus will have a new, calming presence in their environment. Building 1200, the well known edifice that was the epicenter of the Douglas tragedy, will be cloaked in a massive set of banners that display peace and serenity. The banners were installed around the perimeter fencing of building 1200 this past weekend and will remain until the building is eventuallly destroyed.
Stoneman Douglas parent Adrienne Auster organized a GoFundMe account to raise money to wrap the fence around building 1200 in banners featuring peaceful and calming scenery, an idea originated by Lori Alhadeff. It didn't take long for this idea to come to fruition thanks to the support and generosity of Wizard Creations & community donors.
