PARKLAND, FL- The Stoneman Douglas boys football team won their third consecutive game to start the season on Thursday night, improving to 3-0 overall. The win over Monarch was by a final score of 30-26. The Eagles came from behind, scoring the go-ahead touchdown with less than two minutes remaining in the 4th quarter.
Prior to Thursday night's game, Monarch had given up a total of 8 points in three games en route to a 3-0 record coming into the game. Monarch is now 3-1 overall. Stoneman Douglas begins district play next week at home versus Coral Springs High School. Coral Springs comes into the game with a 2-1 record.
