PARKLAND, FL- A natural disaster the magnitude of Hurricane Dorian leaves many of us wondering how to help the Bahamas immediately. The number of options we can give to and support can seem almost endless. Most of us want to know how to help today, and how to help in a practical way.

From a supply standpoint, the Broward County Schools are organzining a huge effort to reach the Bahamas. They have a supplies-needed list that covers all of the basic everyday items, including drop-off points all around Broward County. They are working with the United Way, Brightstar Credit Union, and the Broward Education Foundation to make it happen.

From a donation standpoint, Samaritan's Purse has been supporting disaster relief for years all over the world. They have already sent a dozen relief workers and 30 tons of supplies to the Bahamas. Much more will be needed and a donation to their support network is helpful.

TAPinto Parkland will be continuing to review donation and support options for our local community during this extended recovery process for the Bahamas.
