PARKLAND, FL- Florida daily cases increased to over 2,500 on Wednesday. The percent of positive results ranged from 3.84% to 5.85% over the past 2 weeks and was 5.30% on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. This percentage calculated is for people that test positive for the first time and does not include people that had previously tested positive.

Here are the current numbers according to the Florida Department of Health as of Wednesday, September 23, 2020:

Florida has 690,499 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 2,622 in 1 day.

Broward County has 76,146 confirmed cases, an increase of 345 in 2 days.

Parkland has 512 confirmed cases, an increase of 18 in 1 day. 

Coral Springs has 3,358 confirmed cases, an increase of 12 in 2 days. 

Deaths in Florida related to COVID-19: 13,618 an increase of 223 in 1 day.

Broward County has 5,752 (7.6%) hospitalizations with 1,343 (1.8%) deaths due to COVID-19. Deaths increased by 21 in 2 days. The median age is 39.

Broward County Percent Positive: 5.2% per the latest data on September 22, 2020.

Broward County Hospital Bed Availability: Hospitals have 1146 (22.1%) beds available and 115 (24.7%) adult ICU beds available per the latest data on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
