PARKLAND, FL- As of this morning, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to temporarily close the Chabad of Parkland Campus, including all its services and any communal events.
(Exception: Weekday services in the morning from 7:30am-8:15am (approx.) will take place outdoors on the entrance patio to the building, with the restriction of being less than 20 people in attendance and all praying at least 6 feet apart.)
We are very disappointed that we have to take this action, but G-d willing it will be for a short period of time until Hashem removes this illness from our midst.
This however, does not mean our operations will be closing down. This is a time to make a concerted effort not to decrease our prayer, Torah study and fulfillment of Mitzvot. On the contrary, we must find innovative ways to add to what our usual routines might otherwise allow. With this in mind we will be commencing a daily online Torah class which you will be able to be a part of by Zoom or Facebook live. All private lessons and tutoring will also continue to function in this format. We will update you in a separate email regarding the times and log in details.
We will be continually monitoring the latest advisories and relevant information regarding COVID-19 from the CDC website, while also consulting with other Jewish organizational leaders on how to take the most proactive approach to prevent the spread of the virus.
Wishing everyone good health, and may we have only good news to share.
