PARKLAND, FL- Summer is almost here, and Parklanders are preparing for the most unique summer season in memory. Any activity that supports and allows for social distancing while resembling a bit of normalcy seems like a good idea to many local residents.

This weekend, a new Drive-In theater experience will be available in Fort Lauderdale. The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) is working with local partners to create a Memorial Day Weekend-only drive-in movie experience. For $20 per car, movie goers can watch "Pulp Fiction" at 8:15 p.m. tonight and "Teen Wolf" at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday night. The movies will be shown next to Searstown at 901 N. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.

Next Friday, May 29, Parkland residents will be able to watch a free drive-in showing of the recently released movie "Call of the Wild," starring Harrison Ford and based on the Jack London novel. The movie will be shown at the Equestrian Center at 8:15 p.m. Bring your own snacks and drinks to this event. For more information, please visit the City of Parkland website.
