PARKLAND, FL- Parkland Cares will host its 2nd Annual Marjory Stoneman Douglas Benefit Event on Saturday, March 16, in Boca Raton and Sunday, March 17, in Parkland.

Parkland Cares, a nonprofit organization, was established by Howard Dvorkin, Chairman of Debt.com, in the wake of the Stoneman Douglas tragedy. The purpose of Parkland Cares is to provide free mental health care and counseling to students, teachers, and families impacted by the tragedy. As Parkland Cares raises support funds, it regularly donates the funds to area mental health providers so that people directly impacted in our community can visit the providers free of charge. The expenses are then covered by Parkland Cares. To date, Parkland Cares has donated $239,000 in support of the MSD community in its effort to promote long term healing and recovery.

The back-to-back events in March represent the most significant fundraisers of the year for Parkland Cares. Saturday evening, March 16, is the We Are Stoneman Douglas Winemaker Dinner at the Woodfield Country Club Grande Ballroom in Boca Raton from 6:30-10 p.m. On Sunday, the We Are Stoneman Douglas Food and Wine Event shifts to Parkland Golf and Country Club in Parkland from 4-8 p.m. Tickets for the Saturday event are sold out, but Sunday has a limited number still available.
