PARKLAND, FL- Parkland’s annual Snowfest is returning on Thursday, December 19, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Pine Trails Park. This event has become a favorite among Parkland residents. Kids and adults alike look forward to it all year as demonstrated by a sold out venue in recent years. Last year the event sold out in less than 4 hours; the city responded by opening a second registration date.

Snowfest provides an experience for many children and adults to explore and play in snow for the first time. The night is filled with not only snow itself, but also snow-filled slides, crafts, food trucks, music and so much more. Families get the chance to build snowmen, make snow angels and make and throw snowballs. It’s truly a unique experience to enjoy the fun aspects of snow while in 70-80 degree weather. It is another event that Parkland hosts that contributes to the close-knit feel of the community. "It truly is a lot of fun to play in Florida snow for one night," Parkland resident Jody King said. “We just love the night with our community.”

Pre-registration opens Monday, December 2 at 9:00 a.m. at the P-REC and online. Tickets are $10 per person. Space is limited to Parkland residents only.  Call 954-757-4105 with any questions you have.
