PARKLAND, FL- In an effort to work together fighting the spread of COVID-19, all South Florida counties have announced that their beaches will be closed over the July 4 weekend. 

Broward, Palm Beach, and the Florida Keys' Monroe County have followed suit with Miami-Dade's beach closure announcement over the past weekend.

The official days of the closure are Friday, July 3, through Tuesday, July 7.

The beach closure announcement comes on the heels of two Broward County area summer camps that have needed to shut down due to COVID-19 infections.
