PARKLAND, FL- Parkland's own international Cybercrime expert, Wanderson Castilho, will be releasing his newest book at the Di Pizza Restaurant on State Road 7 in Parkland on Thursday, March 7, from 6-8 p.m. "100 Critical Facts About the World's Cybercrime" is the third book written by Castilho, a native of Curitiba, Brazil.
In addition to addressing the role of online security in the world and its importance for the development of new technologies, author Wanderson Castilho reports that, even as technological possibilities advance, the public is still very vulnerable to Cybercrime. "Criminals threaten children, women, financial institutions, companies, and public agencies. Strictly speaking, everyone who uses the internet is subject to these practices," he explains. A survey carried out in 2017 by the company Cybersecurity Ventures revealed the size of this market by predicting that Cybercrime is expected to carry worldwide losses of over US $6 trillion by 2021.
At the launch event, Castilho will chat with the audience and give a talk about the 10 most notorious virtual crimes worldwide. There will also be a time for autographs and refreshments for the guests. The book can be purchased at the event or found on Amazon.com in both English and Portuguese.
