PARKLAND, FL- MSD's Eagle Regiment marching band took home top honors at the Falcon Sound Invitational this week at Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines. The Eagle Regiment was named Grand Champion at the event, which featured 20 teams from Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Monroe Counties.

"The students brought the heat to the Falcon Sound Invitational!" shared Band Director Steve Rivero. "It was the first time the Eagle Regiment has had the entire show on the field for the first competition! They were just amazing and we are all so proud of them!"

The Eagle Regiment has had significant success recently, including winning back-to-back state titles the past two years. The 154 member band practices two days per week and is gearing up for their next event this weekend. They will face off in a national competition in Orlando called Bands of America National Competition, which includes marching in the Disney Parade at the Magic Kingdom on Sunday, October 13. This year's state competition begins on November 23.
