PARKLAND, FL- Governor Ron DeSantis announced via a press briefing on Saturday that schools in the State of Florida will continue with distance learning through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

"We spoke with a lot of folks throughout the state. There were some differing opinions,” said DeSantis. “Some parents were not interested in their kids going back, some others were. I think as we look at the clock and we look to see how what would it would look like, we’ve got pretty good momentum for distance learning. It’s obviously not the ideal situation, but given where we are in the school year, we felt that that was the best decision to go forward.”
