PARKLAND, FL- Families in the Parkland community will have an opportunity to view two movies that are engaging and insightful regarding teenagers and their dependence on technology. "Screenagers" and "Screenagers: Next Chapter" will be shown on Wednesday, October 16, at Westglades and Thursday, November 14, at Stoneman Douglas, respectively. Both showings will be in the school auditorium.
"Screenagers" is an award winning film that "probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games, and academics, offering solutions about how we can navigate the digital world."
"Screenagers: Next Chapter" takes the topic a step further, addressing high stress, anxiety, and depression. This film follows Delaney Russell, physician and filmmaker, as she discovers solutions for adolescent well-being in the digital age.
Both showings are free of charge and sponsored by the Westglades PTO and Stoneman Douglas PTSO. Each show begins at 6:30 p.m., beginning with this Wednesday's "Screenagers" at Westglades.
