PARKLAND, FL- The Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment placed 2nd at the 5A Florida State Marching Band Championship State Title on Saturday at Daytona Stadium in Daytona, FL, with a score of 91.100. West Broward High School edged out Stoneman Douglas to earn the State Championship with a score of 92.250. The Eagle Regiment won back to back state tournament titles in 2017 and 2018. Nearly 1,000 high schools compete annually in the statewide event.

"This was my second year at State with The Eagle Regiment, and we truly had our best performance. I loved spending time with everyone this weekend...traveling...practicing, performing....hanging out at Dave & Buster’s and on the beach. It was a lot of fun!" said Sophomore Delaney Walker.

The Eagle Regiment will continue to build upon their successful program as they prepare for next season and their invitation to the London New Year's Day Parade in 2021.
