PARKLAND, FL- The Gina Rose Montalto Memorial Foundation wanted to give back to the men and women protecting us each day. Last week, they donated the protective KN95 masks to fire departments in Parkland and Coral Springs.

The Gina Rose Montalto Memorial Foundation was set up to honor Gina's life and memory. Donations to the Foundation provide scholarships to help students with the cost of post secondary education, as well as make other charitable donations to causes Gina supported. Donating masks to the local fire stations seemed fitting as Gina's grandfather, Luke Sherlock, served almost 2 decades as a firefighter and was a Captain of the Miami Fire Department when he retired.

"It's important that we protect our First Responders. Any help we can get is appreciated. It's especially valued and appreciated when victims' families give back. It shows their resilience when they give back", shared Mike Moser, Division Chief of the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department. "We value the relationship we have with them (Montalto Family). We always think of them."
