PARKLAND, FL- Students United Network (S.U.N.) is hosting its first event to unite students across Broward County and to give back to the community. S.U.N. was started with just five students and has grown to 30 members in just a couple of months. The Students United Network was created to empower youth to take action and give back to their community, build leadership skills and make a positive difference.

The Students United Network is holding the event, "Unity in the Community," on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Tom Messenheimer Field, 2575 Sportsplex Drive in Coral Springs. The free event is family friendly with food trucks, face painting and a DJ on site. S.U.N. is collecting school supplies during the event which will be donated to Hunt Elementary School.

“Students United Network has worked diligently to put together an amazing picnic. The youth-run event will showcase unity and togetherness in our community as we contribute towards a noble cause!” stated S.U.N. member Sinan Kassim.
