PARKLAND, FL- The Nicholas Dworet Memorial Fund will be hosting its 2nd annual "Swim 4 Nick" event at the Coral Springs Aquatic Center on Sunday, September 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nick Dworet was an excellent swimmer for both TS Aquatics in Tamarac and as captain of the Stoneman Douglas swim team. Prior to the tragedy on February 14, 2018, Dworet had signed an athletic scholarship to swim at the University of Indianapolis in Indiana.

Sunday's "Swim 4 Nick" event is free to register and inspired by Dworet's love and care for people and swimming. The event will feature free swim lessons by successful area swimmers and club coaches as well as junior national qualifiers. College coaches from Lynn University and University Indianapolis will also be on hand plus many volunteers and swimmers from TS Aquatic. All swimmers must complete the online registration form by Thursday, September 12 to swim at Sunday's event. "Swim 4 Nick" is for swimmers ages 10 and up. Master's swimmers are also welcome this year.
