PARKLAND, FL- During Wednesday night's City Commission meeting at City Hall, the purchase of BSO body worn cameras passed unanimously. This would allow the purchase of 47 body cameras for the current BSO officers in Parkland.  The cameras would remain in the city of Parkland if there was a change or termination of contract between the city of Parkland and the BSO.

Also at the meeting, Mayor Hunchovsky moved towards the removal of City Manager Bob Payton from his current position. Mayor Hunchovsky proposed a separation agreement that would keep City Manager on staff until February 28 and keep Mr. Bob Payton as a contract employee for 5 months. Fellow commissioners stated they would accept his resignation but would not propose it. A special meeting will be held on January 29th at 5:30 p.m. to work through the details of a separation agreement between the City of Parkland and Mr. Bob Payton.
