PARKLAND, FL- A significant item on the list of concerns for Parkland residents is being addressed soon; the issue of increasing traffic from both residential and commercial growth.

University Drive, a major road that runs north-to-south all the way through Broward County, will be adding a roundabout at a consistently busy three-way stop in Parkland; the entrance to Parkland Golf and Country, north of Holmberg Road.

The City of Parkland will be holding a virtual community outreach meeting to discuss the plan and gather feedback.

University Drive has seen significant traffic growth over the years. Parkland and non-Parkland residents use the road as a shortcut to Loxahatchee Road. The addition of a charter school on the corner of Hillsboro and University will also add significant traffic to the equation.

The virtual meeting about the plan will be held via Zoom at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22.
