PARKLAND, FL- Parkland Cares has opened up a new round of grant applications for local mental health providers. This round, the third round of grant applications from Parkland Cares, will be accepting applications from August 1 to August 31, 2019. Any mental health provider that could make use of the funds is welcome to apply.
Parkland Cares, a local nonprofit established by Debt.com Chairman Howard Dvorkin, provides free mental health care to those affected by the Stoneman Douglas tragedy. As Parkland Cares raises support funds, it regularly donates the funds to area mental health providers so that people directly impacted in the community can visit providers free of charge.
To date, Parkland Cares has donated $239,000 in support of the MSD community in its effort to promote long term healing and recovery. Parkland Cares has donated at least $25,000 to six different mental health nonprofits. If you feel your counseling center, hotline or other organization can benefit from a grant, please visit the application page online and submit your information. Grants will be awarded this fall.
