PARKLAND, FL- COVID-19 cases have more than doubled in the past week compared to previous weeks. As the state reopens, city and county leaders are urging the public to continue to take preventative measures to stop the spread of COVID-19.
According to the latest report from the Florida Department of Health, there are 75,568 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 2,931 deaths in Florida. Parkland showed 6 new cases this week for a total of 43 confirmed cases. Coral Springs has also increased by 55 for a total of 374 confirmed cases. In all, Broward County has 8,928 total cases, the second largest number in the state behind Miami-Dade's 21,917 cases.
