Parkland, FL- For Parkland residents that are taking the extra time at home this season to clean out spaces, hazardous household waste drop off is on Saturday, June 6, in Pompano Beach. The drop off location is 1660 Northeast 10th Street, Pompano Beach, and they are open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. to receive the hazardous materials. Facial coverings are required at the drop off.

Items typically included in household hazardous waste collection include: drain cleaners, oven cleaners, metal polish, arts and crafts supplies, photo chemicals, floor cleaners, dry cleaning fluid, radiator cleaners, rust preventatives, wood preservatives, wood strippers, paint, paint thinner, solvents, degreasers, sealants, gasoline, antifreeze/engine coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, chemistry sets, pesticides, herbicides, insect sprays, rodent killers, swimming pool chemicals, hydrochloric acid, cesspool cleaners, creosote, fertilizer, batteries, kerosene, moth balls, bleach, and ammonia.
Electronic waste such as televisions, computers, computer monitors, lamps, toasters, and radios will also be accepted.
Items not accepted include: tires, ammunition, flares, fireworks, explosives, bio-hazardous waste, and commercially-generated waste.
