PARKLAND, FL – Broward Sheriff’s Office said Sunday detectives are continuing to investigate the attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl in Watercrest on Friday.

According to a social media post by the girl’s father, a man got out of a white van, came up from behind her, and tried to abduct her as she rode her bicycle alone in the late morning hours in the community off West Hillsboro Boulevard. Her father said she kicked the man in the knee and then he took off.

As of Sunday afternoon there have been no arrests and the investigation continues.
