PARKLAND, FL- Broward Sheriff's Office Parkland and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) were onsite Friday evening enforcing the state's stay at home order. BSO Captain Chris Mulligan confirmed that deputies from both BSO Parkland and PBSO responded to a large gathering of young adults at the end of Loxahatchee Road on Friday evening. The deputies dispersed the group and no enforcement action was taken.

"BSO Parkland and PBSO will continue to monitor the area and discourage residents from gathering in large numbers. Repeated violations of the Stay at Home Order can be addressed with more punitive enforcement actions; however, that has not been necessary up to this point," Said Mulligan.

Governor DeSantis issued a stay-at-home order for the state of Florida on April 2, 2020.
