PARKLAND, FL- Parkland Bay residents were startled on Friday evening by stray gunshots fired into their community from the Everglades Wildlife Management area to the west of Parkland. Local resident Craig Levine discovered trees with human stick-figure outlines painted on them riddled with bullet holes, as shells and packaging were left behind on the ground. The shots were fired from the trees west of Parkland toward the Parkland Bay community, which made the incident potentially lethal.
BSO Parkland District Captain Chris Mulligan confirmed the incident, which resulted in four arrests.
"Four males were arrested without incident and one handgun was recovered," said Mulligan. "They were transported to the main (Broward) jail that night."
Additional information will be reported as it becomes available.
