PARKLAND, FL- The latest updates of notable crime reports from the BSO through May 10- May 20, 2021.

Theft:

  • May 8-10: Baypoint Circle; Theft from building between May 8 and May 10. Reported on May 22. 21 sheets of peeling sticks were stolen while stored on the roof of new construction home. Total loss of $3000.00. 
  • May 20-22: Community unnamed. Stolen 60 sheets of plywood while stored on an open lot across from new construction home. Total loss of $2,000.

  • May 17: Barkland 9245 Ranch Rd; A 7-year-old terrier mix was attacked by another dog while at the dog park. The terrier mix was taken to the vet and given stitches for the injury.

Lost Property: 

  • May 20: Publix University Dr.; Victim left his wallet on the counter at the service desk and walked away when customers approached. A short time later the wallet was missing. Security recording showed no one stealing the wallet, yet the wallet could not be found. 

Criminal Mischief: 

  • May 19-20: 62nd Ter; A known subject entered the residence by shattering a rear bedroom window without permission and removed a lunchbox belonging to himself that was being stored in the victim's closet. Area was canvassed with negative results. 
  • May 20-21: -- Dr; Victim's SUV was keyed overnight with the word ASS scratched into the rear door hatch. 

Information:

  •  May 20: NW 66th Way; Tree fell on power line causing tree to start on fire. Engine 42 responded and extinguished the fire. FP&L responded and restored power. 
  • May 19: Solstice Dr; A vehicle attempted to improperly enter gate at Solstice Dr. Did not come in contact with the gate or gate arms. However, because of incidence the ate was serviced at a cost of $400.
