PARKLAND, FL- A public gathering on Friday night drew thousands of locals residents and visitors to Pine Trails Park. Individual memorials for each life lost in the Stoneman Douglas tragedy were set up in the park, with photos and artistic collages set up to remember and appreciate each person.

A number of corresponding activities to support peace and unity were also held during the afternoon and evening hours at the park. Shine MSD was hosting artistic music and craft opportunities, and a food packing donation was also organized by the City of Parkland in conjunction with Food For The Poor of Coconut Creek.

The evening was capped by an interfaith service at the Pine Trails Amphitheater. Pastors, clergy, and religious leaders from a number of faiths gathered to share thoughts and pray for unity within the community. The 45-minute service was closed with an inspirational rendition of the song "See You Again" performed by musicians from a local church.
