PARKLAND, FL- Miami Dolphins nominated Marjory Stoneman Douglas Football Coach Aaron Feis as their 2018 Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year.  Aaron Feis was an alumni of MSD and later returned to serve as Assistant Football Coach and security guard. He died in the February 14 shooting at Stoneman Douglas selflessly shielding students from the shooter.  

The Don Shula Coach of the Year Award is named after the coach with the most wins in NFL history and Pro Football Hall of Famer Don Shula.  All 32 NFL teams nominated a local high school coach for their character, integrity, leadership and dedication to their community and team. The 2018 Don Shula Award Winner will be announced during the Pro Bowl on Sunday, January 27.
