PARKLAND, FL- The Stoneman Douglas basketball and soccer teams are winding down this week as they head into the holiday break.

The MSD Girls Basketball Team picked up a 56-38 win on Tuesday over Coral Glades. The girls have a 2-4 record overall and are off over the holiday break until January 7, when they'll face Flanagan High School of Pembroke Pines.

The Douglas Boys Basketball Team fell 72-55 to Coral Glades, which leaves their season record at 1-5 overall. The boys basketball team is the lone squad with a busy schedule over the break as they head to Orlando to compete in the Jim Clark Holiday Classic.

MSD Boys Soccer lost to Cardinal Gibbons on Tuesday 2-0, while the MSD Girls Soccer Team plays tomorrow afternoon at Cardinal Gibbons. Starting time for the game is 4 p.m. The boys have a 2-3-2 overall record while the girls are having a strong start to the season, sitting at 3-1-2. Both teams are off over the holiday break.
