PARKLAND, FL- The Parkland Rangers will be bringing two teams to the 2019 Pop Warner National Cheer and Dance Championships in Orlando next week. The Junior Pee Wee and Mighty Mites squads both advanced from recent Regional competition. The Pee Wee team finished 1st out of 5 teams in the competition while the Mighty Mites placed 2nd out of 17 teams. Both Parkland Rangers teams advanced in the category of Show Cheer.
The Pop Warner National Cheer and Dance Championships feature over 500 cheer teams from around the country. The tournament takes place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex HP Fieldhouse in Orlando from December 7-14 this year. Cheer and Dance Squads compete in 5 different age ranges (Mitey Mite, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Varsity & Varsity). The Show Cheer teams also compete by size (small, medium & large) and Cheer and Dance teams compete in nine Divisions (Show Cheer 1-4, PW 1, PW 2, PW 3, PW4, Core Cheer, Sideline Performance Cheer, Pom Performance, Hip Hop and Theme Dance).
