PARKLAND, FL- Stoneman Douglas Football's school-record for consecutive wins to open the season ended at 8 on Friday night, as the Eagles fell at home to the Plantation Colonels 39-10 in front of a packed house on senior night. MSD's 8-0 record entering the game is a school record, and Douglas finishes the regular season with an impressive 8-1 record heading into playoffs. Plantation's only loss on the season was to national powerhouse and USA Today's 2nd ranked team in America, St. Thomas Aquinas.
The Eagles will face a to-be-determined opponent next week in the first round of region playoffs. State championships are held the first two weeks of December in Daytona.
