PARKLAND, FL- Stoneman Douglas High School's spring baseball and softball seasons are off to a strong start on the diamond. After a season opening loss to Western High School (Davie, FL), the baseball team has rattled off five consecutive wins by a combined score of 42-14 over their opponents, most recently defeating Monsignor Pace of Miami 7-1 on Thursday. The boys are 5-1 overall.

The Stoneman Douglas Softball Team is 3-2 on the young season, with both losses being by one run. The girls drubbed Santaluces High School (Lantana, FL) 17-0 on Wednesday en route to the win.

The boys play at nationally ranked St. Thomas Aquinas of Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, while the girls' next game is on Monday at home versus Coral Springs High School.
