PARKLAND, FL- The Stoneman Douglas Girls Basketball Team pulled out a nail-biter Friday evening at Cooper City High School. Douglas took the lead 41-40 as the clock was winding down. Cooper City drove the court and narrowly missed a layup at the buzzer as the Eagles celebrated the hard-fought victory. The win was the fourth of the season for Douglas and their third within the district.

The Stoneman Douglas Boys Basketball Team, playing the night cap at Cooper City, fell behind early and were never able to recover. The Cowboys hit 5 of 7 three point shots during a second half stretch and pulled away from the Eagles for a 74-59 victory.

The next game for both teams is Tuesday at Pompano Beach High School.
