PARKLAND, FL- The Westglades Girls Soccer team won their first playoff game on Tuesday evening, beating Millennium (Tamarac) 8-0 by mercy rule just minutes into the second half. It was another shut out game for Westglades' goalie and defensive line. The goals were spread out among the team.  Kourtney Slack had three goals and Katelyn Campanella added two. Morgan Melchiorri, Sophia Schulte and Emily Rodriguez each contributed one goal.

Westglades will advance to face Lyons Creek on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at home in the single elimination playoffs.  A win would send Westglades to  District Semifinals on October 11, 2019, at Pompano Beach High School.

The Wolves are coached by Maryanne Sweeny and Kathryn Patterson. "We are excited about the upcoming game against Lyons Creek. Just because we won the first match up doesn't guarantee anything. The girls are prepared to put it all on the field this post-season," said coach Patterson.
