Robots, slime, homemade ice cream and more. These were all experiences that children from Morris County had at the Patriots Path Council Summer STEM Institute last year. This camp focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, fields which are critical to the modern economy and community. One of the attendants last year, Johnny C. said, “I had so much fun! I never knew that so much science went into something simple like making ice cream.” This camp, which has been running for 3 years, has provided young students with a place to explore their scientific curiosity in a fun environment. This program is part of Learning for Life, which is a division of the Boy Scouts of America. Patriots’ Path Council runs its weekly camp for children entering first through sixth grades every year from late July to early August in Cedar Knolls and to sign up visit https://ppcbsa.org/ssi/.
