MORRIS COUNTY BOARD OF FREEHOLDERS’ ANNUAL MEETING WILL BE HELD FRIDAY NIGHT IN MORRISTOWN

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ - The Morris County Board of Freeholders will hold its 2018 annual meeting tomorrow night, Jan. 5, at 6 p.m. in the Freeholders’ Public Meeting Room in the County Administration and Records Building, 10 Court St, in Morristown.

 At the meeting, newly elected Freeholder Heather Darling, of Roxbury will take the oath of office for a three-year term. She will replace Freeholder Hank Lyon, of Montville, who did not seek re-election to the county governing board.

The freeholders also formally will elect a director and deputy director for 2018 at that meeting.

Father John Theodosion, Presiding Priest of St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church in Randolph, will give the invocation, while the Morris County Law Enforcement and Boonton Township Fire Department color guards will participate in the event. 

Members of the public are invited to attend this meeting.

On Sunday, April 22, 2018 Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Chief Assistant Prosecutor Brad Seabury gave a presentation on the Opioid and Heroin Epidemic at the First Presbyterian Church in New Vernon. Approximately 25 parishioners attended the one hour presentation following their morning service.

Prosecutor Knapp welcomed those attending and thanked the Church for hosting the event.
