MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Morristown High girls volleyball team took a huge step in its push to qualify for the Group 4 state tournament on Tuesday afternoon.
In defeating Parsippany Hills, 2-0, in their home gym, the Colonials picked up their first victory of the young season. The 25-14, 25-21 result raised Morristown’s record to 1-2 on the campaign.
Seniors Olivia Romano and Jillian Ching led the way serving for Morristown, registering five and four kills, respectively.
Up front, the Colonials received a huge performance from freshman Charlotte Lasserat, who slammed home nine kills in her third varsity game. Senior Caroline Bailey added eleven assists to spur Morristown.
Next, they will be in action when they visit Randolph on Thursday afternoon.
