MORRISTOWN – The Parsippany Hills High School girls soccer team is the sixth seed in the upcoming Morris County Tournament.

Following Thursday night’s seeding meeting, the Colonials were given the ninth seed and will meet 24th-seeded Morris Catholic in the opening round.

Randolph received the top seed in the tournament. Two-time defending champion Morris Knolls, despite a 2-4 record, is the fifth seed. Chatham is the second seed, West Morris Central received the third seed, Hanover Park is the fourth seed and Parsippany Hills is the sixth seed. Those teams receive a bye in the opening round of the tournament. Morristown is the ninth seed.

Randolph locked up the top spot by defeating Chatham, 2-0, on Thursday.

The opening round must be played by Sunday, Sept. 22. The final will be played on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Undefeated Whippany Park is the seventh seed. Mendham, Morristown and Jefferson round out the top 10.
