PARSIPPANY, NJ - Parsippany Republicans came out in force last evening to support their Assembly representative Jay Webber at his Congressional race fundraiser. Webber is seeking his party's nomination in the June 5th primary in his effort to take control of the Congressional seat vacated by Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen.

Over 400 people attended the event at the Zeris Inn.  Former Assemblyman Guy Gregg kicked off the event with the Pledge of Allegiance. Assemblyman Anthony Bucco announced Jay Webber giving him a ten minute introduction.

Webber spoke of his gratitude and adoration for his wife Johanna and his love for his country that he feels strongly is now on the right track. He spoke of his commitment to keep putting America first and to stand up for all Americans continuing the fight for a safer nation. He also pledged his commitment to focus on wasteful spending instead of raising taxes and regulations as a means to keep our country moving in the right economic direction. He also noted keeping true to the task of being a non-apologetic country where America stands strong in defense of its allies and in opposition to its enemies.

Jay Webber is running in the June 5th primary election against Tony Ghee who has the party line in Essex and Passaic counties; Peter De Neufville of Mendham; Patrick Allocco and Martin Hewitt.  The winner will face the victor of the democratic primary which may be one of the two front runners:  Mikie Sherrill or Tamara Harris.
