Before Mayor Soriano was elected, he promised Parsippany voters he would settle the township's long-pending and expensive legal disputes with Police Captain James Carifi.  The Mayor has failed miserably to deliver on that promise. Instead, Mayor Soriano is only making good on a promise he made to his political cronies to recklessly use the sensitive legal dispute to unjustly smear  township council members who are actually trying to fix the problem. The mayor must be held accountable for his actions, and he should pay the officer the accrued leave time that even the Mayor publicly confessed the officer is entitled to collect.
