Dissecting “The Infrastructure Bill”

Even the most casual consumer of the news must be aware of the struggle to pass a so-called infrastructure bill in Congress. There are at least two versions, both calling for trillions in new spending. That’s TRILLIONS, the plural of Trillion, with a capital T.

As Congress considers this bill, it is worth reviewing the steps of how we arrived in this scenario.

# 1. We’re broke.

Parsippany: Are You Better Off Now Than You Were Four Years Ago?

October 18, 2021

In 1980 Republican nominee for President Ronald Reagan asked the country "Are You Better Off Than You Were 4 Years Ago?" Well, our township is just a small part of the United States but a large part of Morris County. So, I ask you if the Township, "The Place to Be: Parsippany," is better off than it was 4 years ago? If you are then vote for the status quo. However, if you are ...

The Mayor and the Township Budget

Letter to the Editor

The Mayoral campaign is heating up, and along with it, distortions and half-truths become the norm. I would normally just endorse Barberio, Musella and Neglia as the best candidates to restore fiscal responsibility to Parsippany. However, the Mayor is blaming everyone except himself for the deficit budget that he handed over to the Township Council. Neighbors have called ...

Parsippany's Best Mayor

I previously endorsed Mayor Michael Soriano for reelection earlier this summer after my retirement. In xx days, Parsippany voters will have the opportunity to reelect Michael Soriano to a second term, and I’d again like to express my support and admiration for his continued leadership in the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills.

During my thirty years as a police officer in Parsippany, ...

Soriano, Herbig, Hernandez – The Clear Choice on Education

Soriano, Herbig, Hernandez – The Clear Choice on Education

In 2020, I ran for a seat on the Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education. Although I was not elected, I still care deeply about the school district, and I firmly believe that Mayor Michael Soriano, and Cori Herbig, and Judy Hernandez for Town Council are the best choice to support the school administrators, staff, and students ...

No Place for Ugly and Divisive Campaign Tactics

Usually when political campaigns engage in underhanded tactics many of us sit back and watch without acting. However, a recent letter to the editor and the subsequent sharing of it by one of the Democratic candidates should be addressed. Cori Herbig and these actions should make all of us concerned for the future of politics in our community. Many of us have sat back and watched our town ...

Justin Musella is a Good Man and Will be an Asset to the Parsippany Council

I was taken-aback and shocked to read an article being circulated engaging in ad campaign attacks against council candidate Justin Musella. I have known Justin for more than a year and he has endeared himself to every person in our community. Justin has been a staple of events hosted by the Indian American Community and has always been friendly and welcoming to the people he meets. I have had the ...
