Enough of the Partisan Nonsense

March 17, 2019

Dear Editor -

I’m disheartened in seeing the discussion about this year’s Municipal Budget descend into the partisan nonsense that has paralyzed National politics in the last decade.

Both sides are taking advantage of a uninformed voting population using ‘soundbites’ rather than engaging in meaningful dialogue. Throwing numbers back and forth with no context is ...

I support Councilman dePierro's Ordinance

I support Councilman Michael DePierro proposed ordinance.  As a father, a 30 year resident, a taxpayer and an elected volunteer for this community, I am truly astonished, and I am wondering how this could possibly benefit Parsippany.  How does recreational marijuana help our children?  Our town has changed drastically over the years and I can’t imagine this would change ...

Open Letter from Councilman Michael dePierro

With the Governor and a contingency of Legislators in Trenton about to legalize recreational marijuana in New Jersey, we must address this issue in Parsippany. How do we protect our quality of life, how do we protect our children? What action is best for our Township?

An article in the Daily Record dated March 12, 2019 points out that illicit marijuana locations already exist, will continue to ...

Don't opt out of common sense

Parsippany Council member Mike dePierro published an open letter on Parsippany Focus to the town’s residents on March 15, 2019, inviting comments on an ordinance he intends to introduce, which would require Parsippany to opt out of pending statewide legalization of recreational marijuana. I responded to his call in that venue, but would like to express my views more widely in this letter as ...

Where is the Pride In Parsippany?

Dear Editor,

I drive past this sign several times per day and every time I do, I wonder "Where did our Pride in Parsippany go"?  Why is this sign in such a damaged state for so long?  Why hasn't it been fixed?

Our tax payer money is being wasted.

Thank you for helping to get answers to my question.
