PARSIPPANY, NJ - Robert Quinn of Parsipany has started a petition to save the Statue of Christopher Columbus that is located on the Township's Municipal Building property.
Yesterday a petition was circulated calling for the removal of the statue. Mr. Quinn had this to say:
"For decades Parsippany has celebrated and revered Christopher Columbus and our Italian heritage, but now some want to remove our statue. We reject this notion that history should be erased and rewritten due to a fleeting fad and change in political climate."
