PARSIPPANY, NJ - Reports indicate that a protest is planned in front of the Christopher Columbus statue located at the Municipal building in Parsippany.

The protest/demonstration that is being planned is said to be in support of taking the statue down.  It is scheduled for Friday, June 26th at 3pm. 

It is also said that efforts are also being organized to demonstrate support for keeping the statue as it stands on Township property.

Recently, Parsippany has had dueling petitions - one in favor of keeping the statue while the other is in favor of taking it down.
