PARSIPPANY, NJ - A disturbing trend is occurring all over town (and in many other towns as well) where people are discarding their used gloves on the ground and leaving them behind in shopping carts.
The Parsippany Police have warned residents, "Clean up and properly dispose of your used gloves and wipes. If you do not, you can be charged and fined up to $500.00."
This is in response to numerous complaints from the public that shoppers are failing to properly throw out used gloves, wipes and other sanitary products. They are being left inside shopping carts and thrown on the ground. The police warn that this is littering and violators can be charged and fined up to $500.
Residents are directed to dispose of their used materials properly in waste baskets or take them home with them to discard properly.
