MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Newark  Policeman who has allegedly murdered his wife, while in uniform, outside her home in Jefferson will finally face a judge tomorrow, August 28th.

The New Jersey cop is accused of breaking into his estranged wife’s home, shooting her, and then chasing her into the streets to put a final bullet in her head.

Because he has been in a psychiatric unit since being arrested hours after the slaying on July 15th, he will appear before Judge Ironson via video conference.

Newark Lt. John Formisano, the accused, has claimed he 'blacked out' just before the shooting. According to police reports, Formisano, who was in the process of a divorce between his late wife, Christine Solaro-Formisano, returned to her home to bring one of their children a pair of glasses. 

They had two children together who were home at the time of the bloodbath, where Solaro-Formisano's boyfriend also was shot several times in the abdominan.
