PARSIPPANY – The Parsippany Hills High School football team opened the season with a 28-10 victory over Paramus on Friday night. 

Quarterback J.D. Breslauer finished 17-of-25 for 273 yards and three touchdowns. He ran for another 38 yards on three carries and another score. 

E.J. Comerford made six catches for 92 yards and two scores, Dennis Wilson finished with seven receptions for 50 yards, Jordan Thompson hauled in three catches for 73 yards and Ty Sallie had a touchdown reception for the Vikings.

Comferford also made 15 tackles. Alan Copeland finished with 10 tackles, David Giraldo finished with nine and Brandon Perot and Thompson were each in on eight. 

Roger Rubinetti made all four of his PATs for Parsippany Hills.

The Vikings scored seven points apiece in the first and third quarters. Par Hills went into the locker room with a 21-10 lead at halftime following a 14-10 second quarter. 

The Vikings got some revenge on Paramus after last year’s 51-21 season-opening defeat. 

Par Hills now turns to its first road test of the season against River Dell on Sept. 13. The kick is scheduled for 6 p.m. 

River Dell had a 27-0 shutout of the Vikings last year.
