WEST MORRIS, NJ - The Parsippany Hills High School boys soccer team is moving on.
The 23rd-seeded Vikings defeated 10th-seeded West Morris Central in penalty kicks, 6-5, in the opening round of the Morris County Tournament after two overtimes couldn’t decide a winner in the 1-1 game Sunday afternoon at West Morris.
West Morris had a 13-5 edge in shots on goal and took a 1-0 lead in the first half following a strike from Markian Tabatchouk on a cross from Cam Brown.
Par Hills had the game-tying goal with six minutes remaining in the second half.
The Vikings move on to play seventh-seeded Dover in the next round of the county tournament. Dover received an opening-round bye in the tournament.
