Adopt A Pet

Venus and her babies were living under a car in Newark. We were in the area helping rescue other stray cats and kittens when we noticed a group of kids trying to get them out from under the car using a baseball bat. We knew if this family was to survive, we needed to step in and take the mom and her babies into our foster program. Her babies have all been adopted and now Venus is looking for her forever home. Venus is just a sweetheart. She is a calm and loving lap cat. Venus is about 2 years old and she is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and FIV and FeLV negative. If you would like to open your heart and home to Venus, fill out an application at or call FOWA at 973-902-7515.

Its a guess what bred Jade is but we know she is beautiful. She does have a ridge on her back but she is only 25 pounds and about 5 months so she definitely has something tiny in her. She was attacked by the dogs in her first foster home so she does need sometime to be introduced to dogs. Jade loves the other dogs in her foster home they play all day and they play hard. She loves to crawl up on your lap and cuddle and just enjoys attention and love from people. To find out more about Jade, visit or call FOWA at 973-902-7515.

What can we say about Brandon, an 11 month-old Labrador Retriever/Collie mix, other than the fact that he is a mild-mannered, large-breed fellow who will win over your heart if given the chance. Lulu, an 8 month-old Shepherd/Hound mix from Puerto Rico, is a sweet, smart and playful lady. Who can resist those ears? Both love other dogs and will make for a great companion. Meet some of our adoptables on Saturdays at the Petco on Route 46 West in Totowa from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. If interested in adopting from Angels for Animals Network, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, no-kill animal rescue group, or meeting a particular animal, call or text Gizela at 201-655-5059 or visit
