Adopt A Pet

Arrow and his siblings were born the day after Valentine’s Day, filling them with lots of extra love. Arrow is a solid black little boy who exudes both cuteness and sweetness. He is very affectionate and extremely playful. He is growing quickly and is expected to be a big boy based on the size of his dad. Both of his parents have been TNR’d, so finding a forever home for Arrow would help complete our mission. We couldn’t ask for a sweeter little boy who would make a wonderful family companion. Of course kittens are full of energy and a playmate would surely help to both entertain and tire Arrow throughout the day. Arrow is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting Arrow, please complete the pre-adoption application at or call Lauren at S.T.A.R.T. at 973-785-1245.
Lovely Loretta Lynn is a young kitty with an exotic look of perhaps Siamese or Turkish Van. She came in to our foster care with her four little boys from a local neighbor who did not want them anymore! Her striking looks, expressive eyes, and sweet personality make her very appealing. What a LOVE! She is a friendly girl, who loves to be petted, comes to you when called and will roll over on her side so you can stroke her or brush her. She loves to play and chase the laser light. She would be a great addition to a family, either alone or with another pet kitty who she can run around with and play.  Loretta is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting Loretta, please complete the pre-adoption application at or call Judy at S.T.A.R.T. at 973-785-1245.

Munchy's giving his best Blue Steel, but trust us, there's nothing serious about this little goofball!
He loves to play, almost as much as he loves being pet!
Poor Trigger is wondering why no one wants her. Okay, so she prefers to be the only dog, but she will love you enough for a hundred dogs! She's super sweet and gives tons of kisses, and once she gets her zoomies out, nothing will make her happier than to spend her time lounging with you and getting her belly rubbed!
The Alan Purcell Wayne Animal Shelter is located at 201 Pompton Plains Crossroad, Wayne. Adoption hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 12 to 4 p.m., or by appointment. Call 973-694 -0767 or visit All animals are up to date with shots, altered, and cats are tested FIV and leukemia.
